What is a paysafecard withdrawal?

A paysafecard withdrawal is when you want to transfer money from your paysafecard voucher or account to another bank account, or withdraw it in cash from an ATM. For example, if the website you were planning to use your voucher on isn’t one of the sites that accept paysafecard.Note that not all types of withdrawal are possible without a paysafecard account. For some types of withdrawal, you may need a paysafecard Mastercard

How to request a paysafecard withdrawal

Where you start depends on whether you have a paysafecard voucher without an account, a paysafecard account, or an account and a paysafecard Mastercard. We’ll look at each option separately.

Withdrawal without an account

You can request a paysafecard refund even without an account. To do so, you will need to fill in this reimbursement request form. You will need the following documents:
  • A copy or screenshot of your bank statement, showing the account holder’s name, the bank’s name, IBAN and BIC numbers.
  • A copy/copies of the paysafecard prepaid code(s) you want reimbursed.
  • A copy of your official valid photo ID.
  • Proof of residence (e.g. electricity bill, certificate of registration, tax assessment etc.).
Keep in mind that there may be fees associated with a paysafecard withdrawal. If in doubt, contact paysafecard’s Customer Service team.

Withdrawal with a paysafecard account

Step 1: Initiate the withdrawal request

To start, you'll need to log in to your paysafecard account, ensuring that you have access to your account balance.

Step 2: Select the payout option

Once logged in, navigate to the payout section within your paysafecard account. Here, you'll find the option to request a payout.

Step 3: Specify the payout amount

You'll be prompted to specify the amount you wish to withdraw. Be mindful of any transaction or monthly payout limits, especially if you're in the UK, where there's a limit of 250 GBP.

Step 4: Confirm the request

Double-check the details of your payout request, including the selected amount. Ensure that all information is accurate before confirming your request.

Step 5: Await processing

After confirming the request, paysafecard will initiate the payout process. This may take some time, and the processing period can vary depending on various factors, including your location and the payout method chosen.

Step 6: Receive your funds

Once the payout request has been processed and approved, you'll receive your funds through the chosen payout method. It's essential to be patient during this period, as it may take a few days for the funds to reach your designated account or wallet.

Step 7: Verify the transaction

After receiving the funds, it's advisable to verify the transaction on your paysafecard account to ensure that the payout was successful.

Step 8: Secure your funds

As with any financial transaction, it's crucial to secure your funds once they're in your possession. If you're transferring the funds to another account or wallet, make sure that you follow best practices for account security.

Withdrawal with a paysafecard Mastercard

If you want to transfer some of your paysafecard balance to another bank account or e-wallet, follow the steps in the section “Withdrawal with a paysafecard account”.  However, if you have a paysafecard Mastercard, you have one additional way of withdrawing funds and that’s at an ATM. To do so, you simply need to find the nearest ATM and use your card’s PIN code to withdraw the desired amount.  Keep in mind, though, that there are limits for cash withdrawal at an ATM. The daily limit is 400 GBP, and the monthly limit is 1,000 GBP. Understanding the paysafecard payout process provides you with the knowledge needed to navigate withdrawals effectively. Keep in mind that while paysafecard strives for efficiency, processing times may vary, so it's essential to plan accordingly when requesting a payout.

Exploring alternative withdrawal routes

While the official payout process is secure and seamless, there are alternatives with their own considerations. One of them is transferring your funds to your PayPal account.

Transfer paysafecard balance to PayPal

Although it’s not possible to directly transfer your paysafecard balance to PayPal, there are ways to do it. For example, if you get a paysafecard Mastercard, you can ask for your paysafecard balance to be transferred to that card. Once that’s a fact, you can link your card number with your PayPal account. Please take into account that payout fees may be applicable here as well.

paysafecard Payout Advantages

Opting for paysafecard payout provides compelling advantages, including:
  • Enhanced Security: Strong encryption and fraud prevention protect your funds.
  • Effortless Convenience: Quick, hassle-free payouts save time, supported by the expert team.

When a paysafecard payout might not be ideal

Despite the benefits, there are situations where paysafecard withdrawals may not be ideal:1. Transaction and monthly limits: In the UK, there's a monthly payout limit of 250 GBP. Consider alternatives for higher amounts.2. Long refund duration: Refunds can take up to 11 working days, not ideal for urgent access.3. No withdrawals with a paysafecard PIN: Cash withdrawals are not possible by default, but you can transfer to your bank account.4. Potential Fees: When requesting a payout or withdrawal, consider that fees such as currency conversion fees may apply.
