1. Train To Busan
IMDb: 7.5
This isn’t your average train-themed film. It’s the 11th most-watched Korean film ever, depicting Korea in the middle of a zombie apocalypse.
Follow main character Seok-Woo as she tries to escape the zombie-attack on the train from Seoul Station to Busan Station.
One of the best zombie-infested Halloween horror movies if you ask us...
2. The Babadook
IMDb: 6.8
Not the best movie to watch if you’re a new parent - especially if you want to get some sleep tonight.
If you do want to risk it: witness what happens when the monster under the bed is sleeping inside it - and definitely doesn’t have your best interests in mind.
3. Gerald’s Game
IMDb: 6.6
Don’t be fooled by this film’s limited location.
Based on Stephen King’s book Gerald’s Game, this movie shows what happens when Jessie Burlingame is left handcuffed to a bed in an isolated holiday home.
Her husband Gerald dies from a heart attack in the middle of his kinky games, leaving her trapped and alone. If you want a more thoughtful, clever take on horror, this is it.
4. It follows
IMDb: 6.8
What happens when ‘’It’’ can be literally anything or anyone?
When it’s after you and you can only run or harm someone new by transmitting it through intercourse?
If you enjoy horror movies with chase scenes and plenty of suspense, this is one of the best horror movies for you.
5. Veronica
IMDb: 6.2
Need to brush up on your Spanish - and get seriously creeped out?
You need to watch this Spanish horror movie about a girl in Madrid (1991) who is taken over by supernatural forces after playing Ouija with her friends.
Yet another reason to never go near that game...
