Movies
1. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Once Upon A Time in Hollywood tells the story of an ageing TV star (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his long-serving and faithful stunt double (Brad Pitt), who find themselves in the fast changing environment of Hollywood at the end of its golden age. Although many of the films' characters, and turn of events are a true story, the two main characters did not exist. Full of thrills, unrestrained action and humour, only Tarantino could mix the fictional world with a true crime story that shook Hollywood in the late 1960s.
2. IT Chapter Two
The Stephen King classic is back for the second part of King’s famous 1986 novel. Now that the children are all grown up, we are introduced to a fantastic ensemble cast in the supernatural horror sequel to the 2017 film IT, including Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, and Bill Skarsgård. Nearly three decades after the first film is set, IT Chapter Two brings the now-adult characters back to revisit the town of Derry, where the dark and twisted clown Pennywise has begun to terrorise again. As the childhood friends reunite, they must vanquish their deepest fears to destroy Pennywise and help return peace to Derry.
3. Hustlers
An American crime drama like no other, Hustlers tells the story of a group of strippers living and working in New York City. The story takes a dramatic and entertaining turn when they start to steal money from CEOs and stock traders who enter into their club. With a star studded cast, including Jennifer Lopez, Julia Stiles, Constance Wu, Lizzo and Cardi B, this film is fun, flirty and fantastic. If you missed it the first time around, use a Google Play Voucher to see the film today.
4. Ad Astra
Brad Pitt plays Roy McBride, a fearless astronaut on a mission to discover his missing father, in the 2019 space-drama Ad Astra. During McBride’s journey to the edge of the solar system, he will uncover a threat to the very nature of human existence. With breathtaking cinematography and a highly realistic portrayal of space travel, Pitt’s performance takes centre stage in a science fiction adventure like no other.
5. Angel Has Fallen
Gerard Butler returns in the lead role as Mike Banning, in the action thriller film Angel Has Fallen. As a United States Secret Service agent to the U.S. President, Alan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), a turn of events means Banning must race against the clock to clear his own name, after being framed for an assanitation attempt on president Trumbull. Full of explosive effects and added wit from Bannings Vietnam veteran father, the film is an improvement on its predecessors. Top up your Google Play credit to experience a solid conclusion to the trilogy.
Games
1. Minecraft
Invite your friends or take on the crafty adventures by yourself! No matter what you choose, the Minecraft app lets you build and mine for materials from the comfort of your home, or on the go. Since the game’s release on Google Play, constant updates have meant this universe brimming with cubes is still exciting, fresh and full of fun features for you to enjoy.
2. Football Manager 2020 Mobile
Football Manager has always been at the forefront of the sports simulation genre. With the 2020 version, the experience of managing your football team has never been more challenging and rewarding. Our favourite part of the update is the graphics. From player models, kit textures and a more crisp manager avatar, Football Manager has never looked more realistic!
3. Clash of Clans
We still can’t get enough of Clash of Clans. It’s not a new game but the excitement builds and builds with each new year. It has stood the test of time with millions of players worldwide building villages and raising their clans, and even competing in the heroic Clan Wars! The best new feature is the fourth hero of the game, the Royal Champion. Her destructive spear and defensive Seeking Shield mean she is the perfect addition to your clan.
4. Gardenscapes
Simple but effective, Gardenscapes, is an addictive match-3 puzzle game. Your goal is to restore a deteriorated garden and make a new and beautiful garden. Online or offline, this game is full of hidden gems for all ages. However, we love the game features that allow you to socialise with in-game characters and your Facebook friends. It really makes you feel part of a community.
5. Geometry Dash
Whether you jump or fly through these dangerous levels, keeping your cool is key in this rhythm-based action platformer. You can even build and share your own challenging levels using the level editor, allowing you to test your friends. We have not been able to complete Geometry Dash, but we also cannot turn the app off. Do you have what it takes?
